SAN ANTONIO – UTSA men’s basketball sophomore guard Erik Czumbel has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team in a voting of the league’s academic advisors, it was announced on Friday afternoon.
A native of Verona, Italy, Czumbel was one of five players on the annuals C-USA All-Academic Team, including Marshall’s Jarrod West, Rice’s Max Fielder, UAB’s Trey Jemison and WKU’s Charles Bassey.
Czumbel boasts a 3.95 cumulative GPA as a kinesiology major in 2020-21. A two-time member of the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal (3.75+ GPA) and a two-time member of the C-USA Academic Honor Roll (3.0+ GPA).
